Learning Thai living
Alternate Text

Today, the kindergarten students of Bangkokthonburi Demonstration School had the opportunity to “learn about Thai ways of life.” They planted melons in the school’s melon garden and fed animals such as cows, buffaloes, sheep, and horses.

They also enjoyed traditional Thai activities, including Ree Ree Khao San, painting clay pots, and making Thai desserts such as Dok Jok, Khai Krok, butterfly pea juice, and pandan juice. The children not only made these treats but also enjoyed eating them, leaving them full and happy.

This activity was organized as an alternative to an off-campus field trip due to the COVID-19 situation. The school prioritizes the safety of the students, especially since kindergarten children are still very young and may not always be able to strictly protect themselves. Therefore, the school arranged this “Learning Thai Ways of Life” activity on campus, allowing students to gain hands-on experience.

In addition, when the melons that the students planted and watered today grow, they will have the chance to carve their names on the fruits and take them home to share with their parents.
